Training & Facilitation

Our Training Philosophy

Family Circles provides culturally grounded training and facilitation rooted in Native values, teachings, and Indigenous ways of being. These trainings are designed to support individuals, staff, and organizations in strengthening their understanding of identity, community, prevention, and healing through culturally relevant and trauma-informed approaches.

Each session creates space for reflection, dialogue, and shared learning—moving beyond presentation into meaningful engagement that participants can carry into their work, families, and communities.

Our Approach to Training

Family Circles training and facilitation is:

  • Culturally grounded – centered in Native teachings and Indigenous ways of being
  • Trauma-informed – creating safe, respectful environments that acknowledge lived experience and support healing
  • Interactive and relational – built on dialogue, participation, and shared understanding
  • Practical and applicable – providing tools and approaches that can be used immediately
  • Adaptable – tailored to the specific needs, goals, and context of each community or organization

This approach ensures that participants are not only informed, but engaged, supported, and equipped to apply what they learn.
